For our workshare we made Anglo-Saxon weaving looms by lashing four sticks together and weaving wool around the frame.
In English we used our senses to describe a setting verbally. We then had a Beowulf tale around the fire pit as this was a common occurrence in Anglo-Saxon England. The children wrote their own descriptive narrative.
