Welcome to Hylton Castle Primary School

Democracy

Democracy is embedded within the way we work and within the ethos and culture of our school. It is promoted within a framework of rules, regulations and expectations which are there for the benefit of everyone. Pupils have the opportunity to have their voices heard through our Pupil Council, Class Councils and Pupil questionnaires. Our school behaviour and attendance policies involve rewards which the pupils vote on as a class or group.

We have a say in what happens in our school.

Each class votes for someone to represent them on the school council.

We help decide which charities we would like to raise money for.

Children in Need, Comic Relief, Sports Relief and The NSPCC.
