Curriculum Intent

Our curriculum is planned to be progressive and engaging, taking into account, all learner’s needs.  We aim to foster a love of learning and raise aspirations for the future and allow the children opportunities to develop our core values. Pupils will know that their learning is purposeful and enable them to develop life-long, transferrable knowledge and skills.   When designing the curriculum we consider the demographics, diversity and life experiences that children have/don’t have and ensure we provide opportunities so that they leave our school on a level playing field.

Our broad and balanced curriculum is underpinned by a strong focus on the basic skills and the belief that every child can learn to read.

Above all, we aim to develop the whole child who can take their place as active citizens in society.
