After School Clubs

After School Clubs

We have numerous after school clubs that are run by staff.  Termly these clubs may change to adapt for sporting competitions that are planned during the school year.  Letters are sent at the beginning of each term for parents to respond to if their child is interested in the after school club.  It is the parents responsibility to make sure that their child attends regularly for two reasons – the coach may spend time looking for the child and also we have children on the waiting list who could take the place. Clubs that run continuously will be informed by text message.

We are also planning an outdoors activities club starting 27th September, two sessions – one for KS1 and also KS2.  These will be held on a Wednesday after school in our woodland area.  Children will be learning orienteering, map reading, playing games and using Forest School plans.  If you child is interested, please contact the school office.

 Booster Clubs

Individual year groups run booster clubs in reading, writing and maths.  This is to support children who need further development in these areas.  Letters are sent termly to those children who the teacher invites.  These clubs run weekly throughout each term, if a club was to be cancelled (due to staff training) your child will be sent home with a letter to confirm this.
